Lawrence Slade, Chief Executive Lawrence Slade is theSeniorExecutive of Energy UK, the trade undertone for the GB energy industry with a membership of over 100 suppliers, generators, and stakeholders with a merchantry interest in the production (using all forms of generation), retailing and transmission of electricity and gas for domestic and merchantry consumers. Lawrence has been involved in the energy industry since the late 1990’s working in countries all over the world.   Lawrence is a member of the UK Government’s Committee on Fuel Poverty, aWorkbenchTrustee and Audit Committee member of the MoneyTranslatingTrust (who run the National Debt Helpline and SmallMerchantryDebt Helpline), and a workbench director of Eurelectric, a pan European trade undertone for the electricity industry, he moreover chairs their Brexit Committee and is a member of their Finance Committee.  He is moreover a Fellow of the Energy Institute, a member of the Institute of Directors, and a Freeman of the WorshipfulVisitorof Fuellers. Sam Hollister, Director of Economics and Corporate Services Sam was scheduled Director of Economics and Corporate Services in July 2018, having joined Energy UK four years earlier. Sam has policy responsibility for Energy UK’s Strategic Policy Committee and New Energy Services and Heat Committee, in wing to overseeing the internal functions of the trade association. Sam previously worked in UK Government, specialising on largest regulation and economic growth, and spent time on secondment at the European Commission at DG Enterprise Audrey Gallacher, Director of Policy Audrey Gallacher is now Director of Policy at Energy UK, responsible for the teams working on energy retail policy, operations, the smart meter programme and generation. Audrey has an wide-stretching preliminaries in the energy sector, initially with the regulator Ofgem as Head of ConsumerWiresin Scotland. She moved into energy consumer sponsorship in 2000 when she became National Director in Scotland for energywatch, surpassing moving to lead its GB work on visitor performance, research and advice. More recently she has held Director of Energy positions with the statutory watchdog, Consumer Futures and at the soft-heartedness Citizens Advice. Audrey’s role at Energy UK is well-nigh helping ensure consumers remain inside in the minutiae and wordage of our members' policies and processes. She is single-minded to representing an energy supply sector that delivers unconfined service and value, and most importantly treats its customers fairly. Abbie Sampson, Director of ExternalWiresAbbie Sampson joined Energy UK in January 2017 as Director of External Affairs, leading the press, public wires and events teams. Abbie wide-stretching wits in the private, public and charitable sectors including at the highest level of government, having worked at Downing Street as both a strategic communications tipster and senior printing officer. Previously Abbie led the media team at the consumer group Which?, where she gained wits of a wholesale range of consumer issues. Abbie is passionate well-nigh excellence in communications and believes Energy UK has a strong story to tell well-nigh the rapid transpiration underway within the energy industry. Barbara Vest, Special Advisor Barbara Vest is a Special Advisor (former Director of Generation at Energy UK). She has moreover held the post of RegulatoryWiresManager at Gaz de France ESS prior to joining theUndertoneof Electricity Producers. Barbara is a member of the Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage Cost Challenge Task Force launched by Rt Hon Claire Perry MP in January 2018. Barbara chairs the Joint European Stakeholder Group, is on the National Grid Independent Stakeholder Advisory Panel and until September 2018 is an elected industry representative on the Balancing and Settlement Code Panel. She serves on the Executive Council of the House of Commons All Party Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies and is a Freeman of the City of London.
